• Theory of vortex matter in layered superconductors: nature of vortex phase diagram, quantitative theory of vortex-lattice melting, lattice structures in tilted magnetic fields
• Intrinsic Josephson effect in layered superconductors: generation of terahertz electromagnetic waves by intrinsic junctions, dynamics of the Josephson vortex lattice;
• Multi-band superconductivity in magnesium diboride
• Melting transition in two dimensions.
