Alexander Savchenko
14.07.1951 - 27.06.2010
The NanoPeter 2012 workshop will commemorate our friend and colleague Alexander Savchenko who passed away in 2010. Alexander Savchenko, who was an active participant of the previous NanoPeter workshops, made many seminal contributions to condensed matter physics, including the physics of graphene, 2D electron systems in semiconductor structures, superconductivity, and noise.

The upcoming Workshop continues the long tradition of St. Petersburg Nanophysics Workshops started in 2002. The previous seven ones having taken place in years 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2010.

We intend to bring together leading researchers in the field, both theorists and experimentalists, maintaining our informal and stimulating atmosphere of extensive discussions facilitating a free exchange of ideas and a friendly spirit.

We will have talks given by invited experts in the field, as well as a poster session and time allocated for extended discussions.

Scope and Topics

The Workshop will be devoted to electronic properties of nanoscale systems and related research areas. It is planned to discuss the most important recent advances in this rapidly developing field. In particular, we intend to cover the following topics:

Application, Registration, and Visa

All participants have to register. There is a registration fee of 200 Euro this year.

Participation in the workshop is by invitation only. If you are NOT an invited speaker and would like to participate (and present a poster), you can apply for a participation by registration as well.
